[Amazon Kinesis Video Streams](/kinesis/video-streams/) producer SDKs are free and open software libraries for building applications that can stream audio and video data directly from an edge device to the AWS cloud for durable storage, playback, and machine learning based processing. Amazon Kinesis Video Streams producer SDK is now available in C.
With the addition of producer SDK in C, developers can now choose among C, C++, and JAVA SDKs to build streaming applications that best suits their edge device platform. Producer SDK in C is specifically useful for building applications for edge devices with limited flash storage such as cameras used in home or enterprise security. An application built with the producer SDK in C can be deployed to an edge device with as low as 500KB of available flash storage.
Producer SDK in C is available for Linux, MacOS, Windows, and Raspbian platforms; and is also available as a Docker container for easy deployment. To learn more, please refer to the [developer documentation](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/kinesisvideostreams/latest/dg/producer-sdk.html).
Refer to the [AWS global region table](/about-aws/global-infrastructure/regional-product-services/) for Amazon Kinesis Video Streams availability.
