On 7 August, we started a regular[ Azure API Management](https://aka.ms/apimrocks) service update. The update includes the following bug fixes, changes and new features, along other improvements:
1. Improvements to OpenAPI specification export – including returning base path with a leading slash for version 2 and handling duplicate content-types
2. Removal of API reports (analytics) from the publisher portal – this experience has been fully migrated to the Azure portal interface
3. New metrics emitted by the service: backend duration and requests (multidimensional); documentation coming soon
4. Fix for [overriding ServiceURL in the API contract](https://github.com/Azure/azure-powershell/issues/9336#issuecomment-502853403)
5. Support for wildcard template parameters in API console in the developer portal
6. Fix for a validate-jwt policy regression in the Consumption tier
Additionally, we have carried out the following improvements in the Azure portal:
1. Support for importing Linux-hosted Function Apps as APIs
2. Support for exporting Linux-hosted Function Apps to API Management from their own interface
3. Object schema generation from a sample – manual or automated from the test console
4. Object schema management panel
5. Redesigned policy sidebar in the policy editor view in the Azure portal
6. Enriched editing experience with the “Edit” menu button in the OpenAPI specification (JSON) editor
We deploy updates gradually. It usually takes a week or more for every active service instance to receive the updates.
