Services

AWS Chatbot now makes it easy to receive notifications from AWS Config in your team’s [Slack](https://slack.com/) channels and Amazon Chime chat rooms. You can receive notifications about Config rule compliance or configuration item changes. Receiving notifications in your channels or chat rooms enables your entire team to review and collaborate quickly. AWS Chatbot is an interactive agent that makes it easy to monitor your AWS resources in your team chat rooms. AWS Config enables you to assess, audit, and evaluate the configurations of your AWS resources. With AWS Config, you can review changes in configurations and relationships between AWS resources, dive into detailed resource configuration histories, and determine your overall compliance against the configurations specified in your internal guidelines. This enables you to simplify compliance auditing, security analysis, change management, and operational troubleshooting. To receive AWS Config notifications in chat, create an AWS Chatbot configuration that maps an SNS topic to a Slack channel or Amazon Chime chat room. Then, configure an Amazon CloudWatch Event Rule for AWS Config that publishes to the SNS topic. When events are triggered, notifications will be automatically delivered to your chat application. AWS Chatbot currently supports Compliance Change and Configuration Item Change notification types. To learn more about AWS Config events, refer to the [Example Compliance Change Notification](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/config/latest/developerguide/example-config-rule-compliance-notification.html) and [Example Configuration Item Change Notifications](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/config/latest/developerguide/example-sns-notification.html) sections of the AWS Config User Guide. To learn more about AWS Chatbot, refer to the [AWS Chatbot Documentation](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/chatbot/latest/adminguide/what-is.html).
