Amazon RDS for Oracle now Supports Oracle Database 19c

You can now launch Amazon RDS instances for Oracle Database 19c. Oracle Database 19c is the long term support release of the Oracle Database 12.2 family of products (terminal release for 12.2.0.1 and 18c/12.2.0.2). Oracle has announced support for 19c through 2023 for Premier Support customers, and through 2026 for customers who acquire Extended Support. To create a new Oracle Database 19c RDS instance with just a few clicks in the [AWS Management Console](https://console.aws.amazon.com/console/home), use the "Launch DB Instance" wizard and select the DB engine version "Oracle 19.0.0.0.ru-2019-07.rur-2019-07.r1" (contains the July 2019 Release Update). Amazon RDS for Oracle also supports major version upgrade from 11.2.0.4, 12.1.0.2, 12.2.0.1, and 18c to 19c. To upgrade your existing RDS for Oracle instances to 19c with just a few clicks from the "Modify DB Instance Wizard" in the AWS Management Console select the DB Engine version "19.0.0.0.ru-2019-07.rur-2019-07.r1".
