Amazon Neptune provides database deletion protection

You can now enable deletion protection for your [Amazon Neptune](https://aws.amazon.com/neptune) database clusters. When a database cluster is configured with deletion protection, the database cannot be deleted by any user.
Deletion protection is enabled by default for databases created through the AWS Management Console. You can also turn deletion protection on or off for an existing database cluster in the AWS Management Console or the AWS Command Line Interface. When you request the deletion of a database with deletion protection in the AWS Management Console, you may not continue without first modifying the cluster and disabling deletion protection. You will get an error when you attempt to delete the final database instance attached to a protected cluster in the AWS Management Console.
Deletion protection is available for Amazon Neptune in all AWS Regions where the service is available. Read more in the Deleting a Database Instance section of the Amazon Neptune [user guide.](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/neptune/latest/userguide/manage-console-instances-delete.html)
