AWS Ground Station is a fully managed service that lets you control satellite communications, process satellite data, and scale your satellite operations. Ground Station is pleased to announce the availability of Cross Region Data Delivery, enabling customers to deliver satellite data received through AWS Ground Station into the AWS Region of their choice.
Cross Region Data Delivery enables customers to operate space workloads with AWS Ground Station’s global antenna network from a single AWS Region of their choice. Cross Region Data Delivery is available at no additional cost to customers, meaning that customers only pay by the minute for antenna access time and the cost for data transfer will be included. Customers can schedule contacts and communicate with multiple satellites simultaneously. Cross Region Data Delivery using Amazon’s low-latency, high-bandwidth global fiber network enables customers to transform data into meaningful information for decision makers in real-time.
Cross Region Data Delivery enables customers to easily integrate their space workloads with other AWS services in real-time, including processing, analytics, and storage. Additional AI and ML services enable advanced analytics to generate data driven decision and knowledge from satellite data.
Initially, we are launching in US-West-2 (Oregon) and US-East-2 (Ohio) with additional regions to follow. To learn more about AWS Ground Station, visit [here](/ground-station/).
