Deploy accelerated AI cloud workloads and your own business logic, as well as other Azure services, to run on [Azure Stack HCI](https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/products/azure-stack/hci/) via standard containers by using GPUs with [Azure IoT Edge](https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/services/iot-edge/) (learn more about this capability in this [technology showcase](https://www.lenovosalesportal.com/top-resources.aspx?c=1482&item=752), developed in partnership with Lenovo). This is done by using an NVIDIA graphics processing unit (GPU) with Azure Stack HCI using discrete device assignment (DDA) technology and [running Azure IoT Edge in an Ubuntu virtual machine](https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure-stack/hci/manage/attach-gpu-to-linux-vm).
The storage spaces direct technology in Azure Stack HCI has built-in support for non-volatile memory express (NVMe), persistent memory and remote direct memory access (RDMA) networking, and achieves industry-leading performance with resiliency.
Future-proof your investments, modernise your branch offices and data centres, and refresh and consolidate hardware and storage using GPU capabilities and the power of Azure Stack HCI as a high-performance virtualisation and storage platform. In addition, take advantage of [Windows Admin Center](https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/cloud-platform/windows-admin-center) for Azure services such as [Azure Backup](https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/services/backup/).
