[Amazon Corretto](/corretto/), a no-cost, multi-platform, production-ready distribution of OpenJDK, is now in preview for Alpine Linux.
Our customers have requested the ability to take full advantage of Corretto on a lightweight Linux distribution such as Alpine Linux, enabling faster boot times, embedded devices and more efficient space utilization in container scenarios. Corretto’s performance enhancements and patches, which have proven useful in running our own services at Amazon, are now available on a small form-factor operating system for these scenarios.
Try Amazon Corretto for Alpine Linux now with [docker images](https://hub.docker.com/r/amazoncorretto/alpine-preview) or directly download either [Corretto 11](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/corretto/latest/corretto-11-ug/downloads-list.html) or [Corretto 8](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/corretto/latest/corretto-8-ug/downloads-list.html). We would also welcome your [feedback](https://github.com/corretto).
