AWS CodeDeploy now enables automated installation and scheduled updates of the CodeDeploy Agent

You can now automate the installation and update schedule for the AWS CodeDeploy agent through integration with AWS Systems Manager Distributor. With this integration, you can use the AWS Management Console or the AWS CLI, to install the agent on demand, or create an update schedule for target instances on Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) and on-premises servers. AWS Systems Manager helps you safely manage your infrastructure and allows you to automate operational tasks such as installing and updating standard software packages on your infrastructure.
