[Amazon RDS for MySQL](/rds/mysql/) has been updated to support [release 8.0.21](https://dev.mysql.com/doc/relnotes/mysql/8.0/en/news-8-0-21.html) of the MySQL database. This release includes a number of bug fixes as well as functionality improvements.
To use the new version, you can create a new Amazon RDS DB Instance with just a few clicks in the [Amazon RDS Management Console](https://console.aws.amazon.com/rds/home), or modify an existing DB Instance using a point-and-click upgrade. See the [documentation](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AmazonRDS/latest/UserGuide/CHAP%5FMySQL.html) for more information about MySQL versions and upgrade procedures.
Amazon RDS for MySQL makes it easy to set up, operate, and scale MySQL deployments in the cloud. See [Amazon RDS for MySQL Pricing](/rds/mysql/pricing/) for regional availability.
