Azure HDInsight is a managed, full-spectrum, open-source analytics service in the cloud for enterprises. You can use open-source frameworks such as Hadoop, Apache Spark, Apache Hive, LLAP, Apache Kafka, Apache Storm, R, and more.
HDInsight is now generally available in Brazil Southeast. In particular this region is reserved for Brazil customers requiring scenario-based, in-country disaster recovery, marking another successful milestone in bringing open source big data to a new region. Customers in Brazil can create a support request for access by following these steps. [Request a standard quota increase](https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-portal/supportability/per-vm-quota-requests)
For more information about HDInsight, see the [Azure HDInsight documentation](https://docs.microsoft.com/azure/hdinsight/); and for more information on business continuity see [Azure best practices availability paired regions](https://docs.microsoft.com/azure/best-practices-availability-paired-regions).
