AWS Systems Manager is now compliant with the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) High baseline. With FedRAMP-High compliance, you can use AWS Systems Manager to gain operational insights and safely take actions on your workloads in the AWS GovCloud (US) Region’s authorization boundary.
AWS enables cloud operations through AWS Systems Manager. Systems Manager offers a comprehensive set of operations capabilities designed to help you manage cloud and on-premises environments in an automated and integrated way. It helps you automate operational tasks, group resources by application, and view operational data for monitoring and troubleshooting. You can also implement pre approved change workflows and audit operational changes for the customer’s groups of resources.
The security and compliance of AWS Systems Manager is assessed as part of multiple AWS compliance programs. In addition to [FedRAMP](/compliance/fedramp/) High, AWS Systems Manager is compliant with [SOC](/compliance/soc-faqs/), [IRAP](/compliance/irap/), [K-ISMS](/compliance/k-isms/), [ENS High](/compliance/esquema-nacional-de-seguridad/), [OSPAR](/compliance/OSPAR/), [HITRUST CSF](/compliance/hitrust/), and is a [HIPAA](/compliance/hipaa-compliance/) eligible service.
