Introducing AWS Backup Audit Manager

[AWS Backup](/backup/) announces AWS Backup Audit Manager, a new feature within the AWS Backup service that allows you to audit and report on the compliance of your data protection policies to help you meet your business and regulatory needs. AWS Backup enables you to centralize and automate data protection policies across AWS services based on organizational best practices and regulatory standards, and AWS Backup Audit Manager helps you maintain and demonstrate compliance with those policies. AWS Backup Audit Manager is also integrated with [AWS Audit Manager](/audit-manager/), an AWS service that helps customers with overall audit readiness.
AWS Backup Audit Manager provides built-in compliance controls and allows you to customize those controls to define your data protection policies. It is designed to automatically detect violations of your defined data protection policies and prompt you to take corrective actions. With AWS Backup Audit Manager, you can continuously evaluate backup activity and generate audit reports that can help you demonstrate compliance with regulatory requirements. These reports also provide you with more visibility into your backup activities, helping you monitor your operational posture and identify failures that may need further action.
AWS Backup Audit Manager is available today in the US East (N. Virginia, Ohio), US West (N. California, Oregon), Canada (Central), EU (Frankfurt, Ireland, London, Paris, Stockholm), South America (Sao Paulo), Asia Pacific (Hong Kong, Mumbai, Seoul, Singapore, Sydney, Tokyo), and Middle East (Bahrain) Regions.
