Announcing AWS PrivateLink Support for Amazon Lex

[Amazon Lex](/lex/) is a service for building conversational interfaces into any application using voice and text. Amazon Lex now supports [Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (VPC)](/vpc/) endpoints via [AWS PrivateLink](/privatelink/) so you can securely initiate calls to Amazon Lex V2 APIs from within your VPC and without using public IPs or exposing your traffic to public internet. AWS PrivateLink provides private connectivity between VPCs and AWS services, without ever leaving the Amazon network, significantly simplifying your internal network architecture. Using AWS PrivateLink enables you to privately access Amazon Lex V2 APIs from your VPC in a scalable manner by using interface VPC endpoints. A VPC endpoint is an elastic network interface in your subnet with a private IP address that serves as the entry point for all Amazon Lex API calls. AWS PrivateLink support for Amazon Lex is now available in the following AWS Regions: US East (N. Virginia), US West (Oregon), Africa (Cape Town), Asia Pacific (Singapore), Asia Pacific (Sydney), Asia Pacific (Tokyo), Canada (Central), Europe (Frankfurt), Europe (Ireland), and Europe (London).
