[AWS IoT Greengrass](/greengrass/) is now available in Canada (Central) region. AWS IoT Greengrass is an Internet of Things (IoT) edge runtime and cloud service that helps customers build, deploy, and manage device software. With AWS IoT Greengrass, customers can have their connected devices run [AWS Lambda](/lambda/) functions, Docker containers, or both, execute predictions based on machine learning models, keep device data in sync, and communicate with other devices securely – even when not connected to the Internet.
With this release, you can now use AWS IoT Greengrass in Canada (Central) region and implement solutions and programming models to create and test your device software in the cloud, and then deploy it to your devices.
Access the [AWS Region services list](/about-aws/global-infrastructure/regional-product-services/) to see where AWS IoT Greengrass is available. To learn more, please visit the [AWS IoT Greengrass](/greengrass/) product page.
