Announcing AWS PrivateLink support for Amazon Forecast

Starting today, AWS customers can use [AWS PrivateLink](/privatelink/) to access [Amazon Forecast](/forecast/) services from their [Amazon Virtual Private Cloud](/vpc/) (Amazon VPC) without using public IPs, and without requiring the traffic to traverse across the Internet to connect to Amazon Forecast. With this launch, customers can also gain additional access control of the VPC endpoints through usage of [VPC endpoint policies](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/forecast/latest/dg/vpc-interface-endpoints.html#vpc-endpoint-policy). Forecast uses machine learning (ML) to help generate more accurate demand forecasts, without requiring any ML experience. Forecast brings the same technology used at Amazon to developers as a fully managed service, removing the need to manage resources. Using AWS PrivateLink, you can access Amazon Forecast more easily and securely by keeping your outbound traffic to Amazon Forecast within the Amazon VPC network, while significantly simplifying your internal network architecture. You no longer need to use an Internet Gateway, Network Address Translation (NAT) devices, or firewall proxies to connect to Amazon Forecast. AWS PrivateLink support for Amazon Forecast is now available in [all regions where Amazon Forecast is supported](/about-aws/global-infrastructure/regional-product-services/).
