[AWS Backup Audit Manager](/backup/faqs/) now allows you to audit and report on the compliance of your data protection policies for [Amazon FSx for NetApp ONTAP](/fsx/netapp-ontap/). Using AWS Backup Audit Manager, you can now continuously evaluate the data protection activity of your Amazon FSx for NetApp ONTAP resources and generate audit reports that can help you demonstrate compliance with organizational best practices or regulatory standards.
To begin using AWS Backup Audit Manager for Amazon FSx for NetApp ONTAP, simply enable FSx in your existing [AWS Backup Audit Manager frameworks](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/aws-backup/latest/devguide/working-with-audit-frameworks.html). Once you enable FSx, you can use AWS Backup Audit Manager to identify your Amazon FSx for NetApp ONTAP resources that are not attached to a backup plan, audit whether your backups are immutable using [AWS Backup Vault Lock’s](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/aws-backup/latest/devguide/vault-lock.html) WORM (write-once, read-many) capabilities. You can use AWS Backup Audit Manager to help detect violations of your organizational data protection policies and alert you to take corrective actions to help you meet your business continuity and compliance needs.
AWS Backup Audit Manager is available in the US East (Ohio, N. Virginia), US West (N. California, Oregon), Canada (Central), Europe (Frankfurt, Ireland, London, Paris, Stockholm), South America (Sao Paulo), Asia Pacific (Hong Kong, Mumbai, Seoul, Singapore, Sydney, Tokyo), and Middle East (Bahrain) Regions.
