[AWS Cost Categories](/aws-cost-management/aws-cost-categories/) now support the categorization of Out-of-Cycle costs such as AWS Enterprise Support and AWS Proserve charges. Previously, cost categories bundled all Out of Cycle costs into the “Default value” grouping. With this launch, you can use cost categories dimensions to capture and categorize Out-of-Cycle costs.
For example, you can now create a rule to capture the enterprise support costs by creating a cost category rule with dimension as “Service” and Service code as “AWSSupportEnterprise”. You can then use existing cost category features such as [split charge feature](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/awsaccountbilling/latest/aboutv2/splitcharge-cost-categories.html) to split the enterprise support charge with other cost categories.
AWS Cost Categories is a feature within AWS Cost Management product suite that enables you to group cost and usage information into meaningful categories based on your needs. You can create custom categories and map your cost and usage information into these categories based on the rules defined by you using various dimensions such as account, tag, service, charge type, and even other cost categories. Once cost categories are set up and enabled, you will be able to view your cost and usage information by these categories starting at the beginning of the month in [AWS Cost Explore](/aws-cost-management/aws-cost-explorer/)r, [AWS Budgets](/aws-cost-management/aws-budgets/), and [AWS Cost and Usage Report (CUR)](/aws-cost-management/aws-cost-and-usage-reporting/).
This feature is available in all regions. There is no additional cost for using this feature. To get started with grouping your Out-of-Cycle costs today, visit the [AWS Cost Categories page](https://console.aws.amazon.com/billing/home?#/costcategories).
