AWS Migration Hub Orchestrator now supports a new feature to import your on-premises virtual machine (VM) images to AWS with a console-based experience for generating Amazon Machine Image (AMI) from your VM image that you have built to meet your IT security, configuration management, and compliance requirements. With this new feature in AWS Migration Hub Orchestrator, you can automate the manual tasks like the validation of pre-requisites to save time and effort, specify correct license type for bring-your-own-licenses (BYOL) use, and easily track the status of VM import process in the console.
AWS Migration Hub Orchestrator helps you simplify and accelerate the migrations of applications to AWS. Large migration projects involve selecting migration tools, step-by-step planning, and tracking the migration process across different tools and teams. Migration Hub Orchestrator provides predefined and customizable workflow templates that offer a prescribed set of migration tasks, migration tools, and automation opportunities. With Orchestrator, you can customize the templates, automate the migration of your applications, and track your progress in one place.
You can now use the new feature in US East (N. Virginia), US West (Oregon), Europe (Frankfurt), Europe (Ireland), Europe (London), Asia Pacific (Sydney), and Asia Pacific (Tokyo) AWS Regions.
