Today Amazon Pinpoint is launching a new web form experience in the Amazon Pinpoint console to help make it easier for Amazon Pinpoint and Amazon SNS customers to register SMS Sender IDs in Singapore. Customers are no longer required to create a support ticket to register Sender IDs for Singapore. A Sender ID is an alphanumeric originator that identifies the sender of an SMS message, e.g. “AMAZON”.
The new web form experience is in support of the new SMS Sender ID registration requirements that were introduced by Singapore's Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) which comes into effect on January 30, 2023\. This feature is available in all regions where Amazon Pinpoint is available. If using Amazon SNS in a region where the Amazon Pinpoint console is not available, customers can create a support ticket through the AWS Support Center to register Sender IDs.
For more information, please see the Singapore requirements section in the Amazon Pinpoint [User Guide](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/pinpoint/latest/userguide/channels-sms-senderid-singapore.html).
