The Amazon Chime SDK now provides additional options to customize the layout of video sent to streaming services or captured to Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3). Amazon Chime SDK lets developers add real-time audio, video, and screen share to their web and mobile applications. Starting today, developers have more flexibility to tailor the composited layout to suit their use case with either landscape or portrait orientation and stylize video tiles with borders, active speaker highlight, configurable aspect ratio and corner radius. Compositing combines multiple video streams into a single view that can be can be sent using live connector to streaming services such as Amazon Interactive Video Streams (IVS), Twitch, or YouTube Live. Composited video can also be captured to Amazon S3 for storage or further consumption. The new options enable developers to create tailored experiences for use cases such as live streaming of webinars and events. For example, customers who are live streaming webinars can tailor the experience for viewing on mobile phones by using the portrait layout with customized video tiles of the presenters. Amazon Chime SDK compositing APIs are available in the US East (N. Virginia), US West (Oregon), Asia Pacific (Singapore), and Europe (Frankfurt) AWS Regions, and media processing is available in all [Media Pipeline Regions](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/chime-sdk/latest/dg/sdk-available-regions.html#sdk-media-pipelines).
