AWS Outposts can now be shipped and installed at your datacenter and on-premises locations in Iceland and Uruguay.
AWS Outposts is a fully managed service that extends AWS infrastructure, AWS services, APIs, and tools to virtually any datacenter, co-location space, or on-premises facility for a truly consistent hybrid experience. Outposts is ideal for workloads that require low latency access to on-premises systems, local data processing, and migration of applications with local system interdependencies. Outposts can also help meet data residency requirements. Outposts is available in a variety of form factors, from 1U and 2U Outposts servers to 42U Outposts racks, and multiple rack deployments.
With the availability of Outposts in Iceland and Uruguay, you can use AWS services to run your workloads and data in country in your on-premises facilities and connect to your nearest AWS Region for management and operations.
