You can now use [AWS Elemental Link UHD](https://aws.amazon.com/elemental-link/) to directly contribute live video to [AWS Elemental MediaConnect](https://aws.amazon.com/mediaconnect/), a reliable, secure, and flexible transport service for live video. With MediaConnect, you can build live video workflows and securely share high-value live content globally with your partners and customers.
Using Link UHD to contribute video to MediaConnect, you can build mission-critical live video transport workflows in a fraction of the time and cost compared to traditional on-premises, satellite, or fiber methods, and benefit from broadcast-grade monitoring for confidence in your video delivery. AWS Elemental Link UHD, a compact cloud-managed encoder, simplifies the process of connecting live video HDMI or SDI sources, such as cameras or other production equipment, to MediaConnect or MediaLive for cloud-based processing and distribution. MediaLive and MediaConnect are part of [AWS Media Services](https://aws.amazon.com/media-services/), a family of services that form the foundation of cloud-based workflows and offer you the capabilities needed to create, transport, package, monetize, and deliver video. MediaConnect for AWS Elemental Link UHD is generally available in these [AWS Regions](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/general/latest/gr/medialive%5Fregion.html).
