Starting today, FreeRTOS roadmap is published on [freertos.org](http://freertos.org/) and GitHub. With this update, you can transparently access information on specific FreeRTOS features and have a consolidated view of upcoming, ongoing, and shipped FreeRTOS projects to plan your projects accordingly. In addition, you can track the status of your requested FreeRTOS features or the projects you have volunteered to work on.
FreeRTOS is an open-source real-time operating system for microcontrollers and small microprocessors that makes small, low-power edge devices easy to program, deploy, secure, connect, and manage. You can download FreeRTOS source code from [GitHub](https://github.com/freertos/freertos) and freertos.org.
To learn more about and review the FreeRTOS roadmap, refer to the [FreeRTOS Roadmap](https://freertos.org/roadmap.html) on freertos.org. For details on the code contribution process, please visit the [Contributions page](https://freertos.org/community/contributions.html) on freertos.org.
