The Migration Assistant for Amazon OpenSearch Service is an open-source AWS solution designed for the effortless migration of self-managed OpenSearch and Elasticsearch clusters to Amazon OpenSearch Service (Managed clusters and Serverless collections).
Starting today, customers can utilize this self-service solution to smoothly migrate both existing and live data from their self-managed clusters to Amazon OpenSearch Service managed clusters or Serverless collections. This solution automates manual migration tasks, streamlining the process for both existing and live data migration. Additionally, it offers advanced features like traffic capture and replay, aiding in the early identification of potential migration and upgrade issues. Beyond simplifying the migration process, it also allows for performance and behavioral comparisons between source and target environments based on real workloads.

California), US West (Oregon), Asia Pacific (Tokyo), Asia Pacific (Singapore), Asia Pacific (Sydney), Europe (Frankfurt), Europe (Ireland), and Europe (London).
