Today, AWS Backup announces support for SAP HANA High Availability (HA) databases. With this launch, you can now backup and restore your SAP HANA HA databases running on Amazon EC2 instances, alongside single node SAP HANA databases and other currently supported resources. AWS Backup is a fully managed service that centralizes and automates data protection across AWS services and hybrid workloads.
Customers running their business-critical workloads on SAP HANA databases on EC2 need to protect their data in a simple and cost-effective manner. AWS Backup now supports SAP HANA HA databases on EC2, and provides a fully managed service to back up and recover SAP HANA HA databases.
AWS Backup for SAP HANA HA databases running on Amazon EC2 is available in the AWS Regions where AWS Backup is offered with the exception of Asia Pacific (Hyderabad, Jakarta), Europe (Spain, Zurich), and Middle East (UAE) Regions.
