AWS Lambda now supports SnapStart for Java functions in 5 additional [AWS Regions](https://aws.amazon.com/about-aws/global-infrastructure/regional-product-services/): Middle East (UAE), Europe (Spain, Zurich), and Asia Pacific (Hyderabad, Melbourne). AWS Lambda SnapStart for Java delivers up to 10x faster function startup performance at no extra cost. Lambda SnapStart is a performance optimization that makes it easier for you to build highly responsive and scalable Java applications using AWS Lambda, without having to provision resources or spend time and effort implementing complex performance optimizations. You can activate Lambda SnapStart for new or existing Java-based Lambda functions running on Amazon Corretto 11, 17, and 21 using the AWS Lambda API, AWS Management Console, AWS Command Line Interface (AWS CLI), AWS Cloud Formation, AWS Serverless Application Model (AWS SAM), AWS SDK, and AWS Cloud Development Kit (AWS CDK). For more information on Lambda SnapStart, see the [documentation](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/lambda/latest/dg/snapstart.html) and the [launch blog post](https://aws.amazon.com/blogs/aws/new-accelerate-your-lambda-functions-with-lambda-snapstart/).
