Amazon Location Service has released authentication libraries for iOS and Android platforms, simplifying the integration of Amazon Location Service into mobile apps. Along with the existing Javascript library, these provide a consistent authentication experience across web and mobile platforms. The libraries support API key and Amazon Cognito authentication, enabling mobile developers to choose the method best suited to expedite their integration process. By handling authentication with minimal additional code and without introducing new dependencies, the libraries allow quicker incorporation of Amazon Location Service capabilities into mobile applications. Amazon Location Service is a fully managed service that helps developers easily and securely add maps, points of interest, geocoding, routing, tracking, and geofencing to their applications without compromising on data quality, user privacy, or cost. Amazon Location Service is available in the following AWS Regions: US East (Ohio), US East (N. Virginia), US West (Oregon), Asia Pacific (Mumbai), Asia Pacific (Singapore), Asia Pacific (Sydney), Asia Pacific (Tokyo), Canada (Central), Europe (Frankfurt), Europe (Ireland), Europe (London), Europe (Stockholm), South America (São Paulo), and AWS GovCloud (US-West).
