## Security The following vulnerabilities were discovered in the Linux kernel that can lead to a privilege escalation on Container-Optimized OS and Ubuntu nodes: * CVE-2024-26921 For more details, see the [GCP-2024-043 security bulletin](https://cloud.google.com/anthos/clusters/docs/security-bulletins#gcp-2024-043). ## Feature [Compute flexible committed use discounts](https://cloud.google.com/compute/docs/instances/committed-use-discounts-overview#spend%5Fbased) (CUDs), previously known as Compute Engine Flexible CUDs, have been [expanded](https://cloud.google.com/blog/products/containers-kubernetes/compute-flexible-cud-expands-to-gke-autopilot-and-cloud-run) to include several GKE Autopilot and Cloud Run SKUs (see the [GKE CUD documentation](https://cloud.google.com/kubernetes-engine/cud) for details). The legacy GKE Autopilot CUD will be removed from sale on October 15, 2024\.
