## Feature **Preview**: You can now create regionally scoped snapshots. Setting a regional scope ensures that all snapshot data and the metadata necessary to use the snapshot are co-located within the scoped region. Regionally scoped snapshots also support additional location control by letting you restrict allowed snapshot creation and restore locations.
