1.25.0-asm.8 is now available for in-cluster Cloud Service Mesh

## Announcement **1.25.0-asm.8 is now available for in-cluster Cloud Service Mesh.** You can now download 1.25.0-asm.8 for in-cluster Cloud Service Mesh. It includes the features of [Istio 1.25.0](https://istio.io/latest/news/releases/1.25.x/announcing-1.25/) subject to the list of [supported features](https://cloud.google.com/service-mesh/docs/supported-features-in-cluster). The following environment variables are not supported: * PILOT\_MX\_ADDITIONAL\_LABELS * PILOT\_DNS\_CARES\_UDP\_MAX\_QUERIES * PILOT\_DNS\_JITTER\_DURATION * PILOT\_SEND\_UNHEALTHY\_ENDPOINTS The following annotations are not supported: * networking.istio.io/traffic-distribution * istio.io/reroute-virtual-interfaces For details on upgrading Cloud Service Mesh, see [Upgrade Cloud Service Mesh](https://cloud.google.com/service-mesh/docs/upgrade/upgrade). Cloud Service Mesh version 1.25.0-asm.8 uses Envoy v1.33.1-dev. ## Issue There is a [known issue](https://github.com/istio/istio/issues/55787) where all gateway CRs will see a downtime for status updates when upgrading from 1.24.3 to 1.25.x .
