Public Preview: Introducing SDK Stats to the Azure Monitor OpenTelemetry Distro

As part of our journey to make Azure the most observable cloud, we are adding a new way for you to observe your Azure Monitor Application Insights data collection pipeline. One of the foremost reasons customers file support tickets against Azure Monitor Application Insights is that they are not seeing the data they expect. Now, you can leverage the built-in SDK Stats workbook to quickly spot and resolve ingestion issues, ensuring your apps stay observable and reliable. SDK Stats emits new per-process metrics that track successful sends, drops, and retries—complete with detailed reason codes.
