Azure Virtual Network Manager address space overlap prevention in mesh is now generally available, bringing enhanced reliability and governance to multi-virtual network environments.
Unintended address overlap within mesh can lead to dropped traffic. This feature introduces a built-in validation mechanism to proactively detect and prevent such conflicts.
With this capability:
* When adding a virtual network to a mesh, Azure Virtual Network Manager automatically verifies that the new virtual network’s address space does not overlap with existing members.
* When updating an existing virtual network’s address space or adding a new peering, Azure Virtual Network Manager ensures the operation will not introduce an overlap.
Any address change triggers an update to Azure Virtual Network Manager, ensuring real-time validation and consistent routing integrity across large-scale environments.
This GA release empowers customers to maintain end-to-end network reliability, prevent configuration-induced outages, and uphold governance standards across distributed Azure deployments.
