On March 31, 2029, we’ll be retiring manually registered Azure VPN clients for point-to-site connections with Microsoft Entra ID authentication for Azure Government and Microsoft Azure operated by 21Vianet clouds.
Recommended action:
To prevent disruptions, [migrate manually registered Azure VPN clients](https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/vpn-gateway/point-to-site-entra-gateway-update) to a Microsoft-registered VPN client for point-to-site connections with Microsoft Entra ID authentication before 31 March 2029\.
To improve security, we’ll only be supporting Microsoft-registered VPN clients after that date.
