Retirement: Python support for Azure App Service and Azure Functions on Windows will be retired on March 31, 2027

Starting March 31, 2027, Python applications hosted on Azure App Service on Windows and Azure Functions on Windows will no longer run. After this date: * Your application configuration and content will remain intact * Your apps will stop running * Technical support for these workloads will no longer be available Python on App Service for Windows has not been supported since December 2021\. This change formally retires the runtime. What you need to do: To avoid service disruption, you must migrate your Python applications to Linux before 31 March 2027\. Microsoft fully supports Python on: * Azure App Service on Linux * Azure Functions on Linux We recommend creating a new Linux based application and redeploying your Python workloads well in advance of the retirement date.
