Semantic tags provide standardized key-value metadata backed by OpenTelemetry (OTel) conventions. Tags automatically replicates _Environment_ and_Criticality_ attributes set on App Hub services and workloads as read-only system semantic tags (`google:AppHub/environment` and`google:AppHub/criticality`) on underlying direct resources. You can also view available semantics and their OTel mappings in the Semantic Catalog in the Google Cloud console.
