The Azure Developer CLI (azd) Extension Framework is now generally available. The framework enables developers, teams, and partners to extend Azure Developer CLI with custom capabilities that support their preferred application development workflows.
With the GA release, organizations can build and distribute extensions that integrate custom tools, automate development and deployment tasks, and provide tailored experiences for cloud application development on Azure. The extension framework helps standardize and simplify developer workflows while allowing teams to incorporate organization-specific processes and tooling.
The Azure Developer CLI extension model supports a growing ecosystem of extensions, enabling developers to enhance azd with additional functionality beyond the core CLI experience. This flexibility helps development teams streamline application delivery and adapt azd to their unique requirements.
