## Feature
Feature
Managed OpenTelemetry for GKE is generally available (GA) on clusters running GKE version 1.37.1-gke.1697000 or later. You can collect OpenTelemetry Protocol (OTLP) traces, metrics, and logs from your workloads with a Google-managed collector instead of a self-managed OpenTelemetry Collector deployment:
* Configure `otlp_grpc` in the Instrumentation custom resource (GKE version 1.37.1-gke.1697000 or later), or send telemetry directly to the in-cluster collector's gRPC endpoint on port 4317 in addition to HTTP on port 4318.
* The managed collector routes logs alongside traces and metrics through the Cloud Telemetry API (`telemetry.googleapis.com`), with improved per-signal queueing and autoscaling for high-throughput clusters. (Logs ingested through`telemetry.googleapis.com` default to the `otlp` log name instead of`gke-managed-otel-collector`.)
* [Multimodal prompts and responses collection](https://cloud.google.com/kubernetes-engine/docs/how-to/managed-otel-gke#multimodal-prompts-responses)for LangGraph ReAct and Agent Development Kit (ADK) agents, the`--managed-otel-scope` flag in the `gcloud` CLI (version 576.0.0 or later), and `managed_opentelemetry_config` in `terraform-provider-google` (v8.8.0 or later) are generally available.
To use the GA collector and features, upgrade clusters from earlier Preview versions to 1.37.1-gke.1697000 or later.
