Services
Azure DNS now provides metrics for monitoring specific aspects of DNS zones that are hosted in the service. You can configure and receive alerts based on conditions that interest you. Metrics are provided via the [Azure Monitor service](https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/monitoring-and-diagnostics/index).
The following metrics are available via Azure Monitor for your DNS zones:
* **Query volume**: Volume of DNS queries
* **RecordSet count**: Count of DNS record sets within your DNS zone
* **RecordSet capacity utilisation:** Percentage utilisation of the max. limit of record sets for your DNS zone
For more information, see the [Azure DNS documentation](https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/dns/dns-alerts-metrics).
