Extended edge offline support is a new feature of Azure IoT Edge in preview that offers robust offline operation.
The feature manages edge modules and leaf devices, and performs functions such as authentication and deployment while completely disconnected from IoT Hub. This allows customers who operate in remote environments to run their businesses smoothly even when there’s an unreliable connection for an extended period of time.
