The [1.0.3](https://github.com/Azure/iotedge/blob/1.0.3/CHANGELOG.md) update of Azure IoT Edge only includes a fix for a security vulnerability. The bug was found in the C# Device SDK, a dependency of some IoT Edge runtime components. New versions of Edge Agent, Edge Hub and temperature sensor have been produced.
The IoT Edge Security Daemon is not affected by this security vulnerability. However, a 1.0.3 version has been produced so that customers can keep matching versions of the components on their devices.
For instructions on how to update IoT Edge, see the [documentation](https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/iot-edge/how-to-update-iot-edge).
We also recommend that customers and third parties update any custom modules that are implemented with the C# Device SDK to the latest version of the SDK (1.18.1).
