Azure HPC Cache is a new service that provides file caching for high-performance computing. It solves common latency problems between compute and storage via a cost-efficient, performant file system cache. Azure HPC Cache supports on-premises NAS and Azure Blob.
High-performance computing environments where applications require low-latency access to files, such as secondary analysis and Monte Carlo simulations, are typically restricted to on-premises. Now, with Azure HPC Cache, these workloads can take advantage of Azure compute resources to scale, so that jobs are completed in less time. HPC Cache supports storage platforms using NFSv3, including NetApp, Dell EMC Isilon and Azure Blob, as storage targets.
Azure HPC Cache is available in East US, East US 2, North Europe, West Europe, Southeast Asia, West US 2 and Sydney.
