Updates to Azure HDInsight

HDInsight now supports distributions of Apache analytics projects such as Spark, Hadoop, and Kafka. This update enables Azure customers to benefit from Apache analytics frameworks that are deeply integrated with the Azure platform (storage, networking, security, monitoring) and optimized for the cloud—offering agility, performance, and elasticity. All of the innovations added to the Apache projects will be made available to the community under the Apache license. Plus, in the coming months, we’re launching the next generation of HDInsight with requested features such as improved provisioning and management experience, reserved instance pricing, low-priority virtual machines, and autoscaling.
