We introduced the [Power BI Embedded experience](https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/power-bi-embedded-capacity-based-skus-coming-to-azure/) with more capabilities such as visuals, reports and easy-to-navigate functionalities enabling you to make quick, informed decisions in context. With the embedded experience, we are retiring Power BI Workspace Collection on 31 August 2021. **How does this affect me?** After 31 August 2021, Power BI Workspace Collection will not work with reports created or edited on Power BI Desktop. To edit your Power BI reports using Power BI Desktop, please use a Power BI Desktop version that was released earlier than June 2020\. Reports that were edited/created after June 2020 will use the [enhanced dataset metadata](https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/connect-data/desktop-enhanced-dataset-metadata) which is not supported on Power BI Workspace Collection. Power BI Desktop June 2020 versions include: * [PBIDesktopSetup\_x64.exe](https://download.microsoft.com/download/8/8/0/880BCA75-79DD-466A-927D-1ABF1F5454B0/PBIDesktopSetup-2020-06%5Fx64.exe) * [PBIDesktopSetup.exe](https://download.microsoft.com/download/8/8/0/880BCA75-79DD-466A-927D-1ABF1F5454B0/PBIDesktopSetup-2020-06.exe) **What actions should I take?** Migrate to Power BI Embedded today.
