We [announced](https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/updates/azure-analysis-services-higher-compute-skus/) the S8V2 and S9V2 Analysis Services SKUs in September 2019, as these two SKUs have double the QPU (abstraction of CPU) of the existing S8/S9 SKUs.
**How does this affect me?**
After 31 August 2023, S8 and S9 Analysis Services SKUs will no longer be available for new deployments.
**What actions should I take?**
Existing S8 and S9 servers continue to be hosted on the old hardware. However, you should start migrating S8 and S9 Analysis Services SKUs to S8V2 and S9V2 Analysis Services SKUs before 31 August 2023\.
For new servers, please use the replacement S8V2 or S9V2 SKUs. Learn more [here](https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/analysis-services/analysis-services-overview). Alternatively, you can review the [Azure Analysis Services pricing page](https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/pricing/details/analysis-services/) to find the best alternative to S8 and S9 SKUs.
If you have a support plan and require technical support, please [contact us](https://portal.azure.com/#blade/Microsoft%5FAzure%5FSupport/HelpAndSupportBlade/overview).
