Azure Databricks Spot Virtual Machines are now generally available. With Azure Spot Virtual Machines (Spot VMs), you can access unused Azure compute capacity at deep discounts—up to 90 percent compared to pay-as-you-go prices.
As use of Azure Databricks is rapidly expanding, customers are looking for ways to save costs when running their workloads. Spot VMs are available for use in clusters, pools, and via rest API calls.
