We are launching our newest sustainable datacenter region in Sweden, with presence in Gävle, Sandviken and Staffanstorp. The new datacenter region includes [Azure Availability Zones](https://azure.microsoft.com/global-infrastructure/availability-zones/), which offer you additional resiliency for your applications by designing the region with unique physical datacenter locations with independent power, network, and cooling for additional tolerance to datacenter failures.
For customers looking to leverage the new region and Availability Zones, Azure offers region portability for multiple resources with [Azure Resource Mover](https://azure.microsoft.com/services/resource-mover/). Customers in regulated industries can pair their deployments in Sweden Central with the geographically separated Sweden South (Staffanstorp) region for regional disaster recovery while maintaining data residency requirements.
