Semantic search, a feature of [Azure Cognitive Search](https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/services/search/?OCID=AID2200277%5FSEM%5F3ef6420060521707bfae23ca6d69d755:G:s&ef%5Fid=3ef6420060521707bfae23ca6d69d755:G:s&msclkid=3ef6420060521707bfae23ca6d69d755#overview), has entered ungated public preview. You can now turn on semantic search features directly from the Azure portal. We are also releasing the following updates:
* Billing for semantic search is now available. Customers can select between Free and Standard plans. See our [pricing page](https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/pricing/details/search/) for more details.
* We have expanded semantic search availability to the following regions: Australia East, East US, East US 2, North Central US, South Central US, West US, West US 2, North Europe, UK South, West Europe
* Customers can also leverage semantic configurations – a new feature within semantic search that allows customers to indicate title, description and keyword fields as part of index definitions. This will help optimise search relevance by indicating the relative importance of certain fields
