**Retirement of the Azure Media Redactor on 14 September 2023** As Microsoft’s [Responsible AI Standards](https://blogs.microsoft.com/on-the-issues/2022/06/21/microsofts-framework-for-building-ai-systems-responsibly/) outline, Microsoft is committed to fairness, privacy, security and transparency with respect to AI systems. To better align our products to this new Standard and the[ Limited Access policy](https://aka.ms/AAh91ff) for other Microsoft products, Azure Media Services will be retiring the following capabilities on 14 September 2023: * [Azure Media Redactor (RESTv2)](https://docs.microsoft.com/azure/media-services/previous/media-services-redactor-walkthrough) After 14 September 2023, any applications that you have developed using the Azure Media Redactor preset will begin experiencing errors or failed job submissions. **Action required** The Azure Media Redactor (RESTv2) preset will be retired and is not being replaced at this time. If you would instead like to detect people in a video, we recommend you update your applications to use the Video Indexer APIs for [detecting observed people](https://docs.microsoft.com/azure/azure-video-indexer/observed-people-tracing) and [matching observed people to faces](https://docs.microsoft.com/azure/azure-video-indexer/matched-person) and [submit a request](https://aka.ms/facerecognition) to get access to the Limited Access programme for these features.
