Cognitive Services Custom Commands feature is being retired on April 30, 2026

Azure Cognitive Services is restructuring its Speech Services features, prioritizing new innovations. This new direction will enable our voice assistant solutions to leverage the next generation dialog orchestration models, to improve performance and accuracy.
Custom Commands and supporting dialog and language understanding resources will be retired on 30 April 2026.
Customers with existing Language Understanding (LUIS) resources associated with a Custom Command application will be supported till 2026, however, creation of any new Language Understanding (LUIS) resource will be disabled on 30 April 2023, and support for creating new Custom Commands applications disabled on 30 October 2023.
